Business Analyst/DevOps

The Contraste Europe Group builds strong relations with its clients. It offers a range of IT services such as: Advisory, Solutions, Applications and Infrastructure. The Group’s sector focus is with finance, utilities, public institutions and non-commercial organisations. We are operating on three countries located in Belgium, Luxemburg and France.

For one of our major clients in the sector, we are looking for a Business Analyst - DevOps.

Context:

In the context of rolling out DevOps practices and tooling, the client is searching for a Business Analysts, which will be assigned on the DevOps epic.

The Business Analyst must have a good understanding of Architecture, Software development, testing and release management, based on practical experience.

  • Master or equivalent by experience

Jouw rol

The Business Analysts will work on several of the following tracks:

Participate in the definition and rollout of standard practices with regards to:

  • Feature and story refinement
  • Development
  • Quality
  • Security

Support the setup and rollout of Release Orchestration (Broadcom Continuous Delivery Director):

  • Onboard squads and TRE on CDD
    • Elaborate together with DevOps coaches, tribe and impacted squads the roadmap (pre-requisite check)
  • Consolidate usage feedback and translate into backlog items for
    • Squad responsible for CDD setup and evolution
    • Process coaches
    • Guilds

Align and work with these different stakeholders to develop a common view and implementation for release management and reporting

  • Identify and visualize the impact of code branching strategy on release management. Work with SME’s/Guild to identify a target branch strategy which simplifies release orchestration

Support the set up and rollout of Test Management Solution (Micro Focus Octane):

  • Onboard squads and Tribe Test Engineers on Octane
    • Elaborate together with DevOps coaches, tribes and impacted squads the roadmap (pre-requisite check)
  • Consolidate usage feedback and translate into backlog items for
    • Squad responsible for Octane setup and evolution
    • Process coaches
    • Guilds

Align and work with these different stakeholders to develop a common view and implementation for test management and reporting

Establish and follow-up Link between API@Scale and architecture:

  • Identify together with tribe architects and the API@Scale squad the priorities for converting existing services into API, with as objective:
    • Squads can work and release more independently
    • Clear prioritization for the API board activities (API validation), with focus on PSD2 and Mobile First strategy
  • Take into account the license costs of existing frameworks, to reduce TCO
  • Take into account the impact on test and release management (linked to the two points above)

DevOps Group alignment:              

  • Participate to workshops with Group DevOps programs on
    • Release orchestration
    • Test Management
    • Quality gating
    • Toolchain integration
  • Provide reporting to Group on DevOps rollout

DevOps implementation reporting:

Follow-up on the realization of the DevOps objectives.
